NCT eLearning Project
Overview
In an application-based teaching-learning environment such as NCT, the focus of eLearning is to supplement individuals with access to more materials, particularly those where learners are able to see simulations of tools and equipment that they will use in the actual work environment. In this case, the application of eLearning is driven primarily by the need for an alternative form of learning, one that is aided by new technologies and the latest developments in information and communication technologies.
About NCT eLearning
The Colleges eLearning Project is implemented in a variety of ways. The important aspects of this are:
Staff development for the use of eLearning such as:
training-workshops
informal gatherings
formal assistance and other services to academic departments
small-group project teams
Evaluation and reflection conducted through:
helping to establish a coordinated approach to eLearning management through the establishment of an eLearning committee
evaluating staff experiences in eLearning through training and workshops
Coordinating and collaborating with the College eLearning infrastructure by:
community building using informal gatherings
working with staff on eLearning projects
Teaching and Learning With Moodle

NCT eLearning Working Group
The eLearning working group is headed by the Asst. Dean for Academics, with the Heads of Academic Department, Head of Centres, and one representative each for the academic departments as members.
