Engineering Department of UTAS-Nizwa has conducted a Project Induction Program for Engineering Students on Wednesday, 1st December 2021. The program was conducted in online through MS Teams. The program started with the motivational talk delivered by Dr.BenSujin, HoS, Electrical Engineering. Ms.Zuwaina Rashid Al Riyami, Head of ESS/ETC has enlightened the students regarding the importance of open data base system provided by the Ministry.

Various benefits and features of the database like availability of current job opportunities and industrial challenges were illustrated to the students. Project coordinators Mr. Harisha Karagappa, Dr.Vimalakeerthy and Mr.Thiyagrajan Prabaharan have given the guidelines regarding the selection of challenging projects in recent research areas. A brief introduction on IR4 Technology and recent researches on IR4 technology was discussed.

Students were motivated to choose the projects that uses IR4 technology to benefit the society. The program also covered the detailed explanation on project execution procedures such as project group registration, project proposal writing with example, supervisor allotment process and deadlines for various forms submission. Program ended with question and answer sessions and many students have actively participated. At the outset, the Program was successful, much interactive and the students were benefited out of this program.
