The amount of information and material made available online is growing along with the usage of the internet. In addition to the fact that cybercrime has advanced significantly over the past several years, in 2020 we utilized technology and digital services more than ever, spending more time online, and working from home while dealing with the unpredictability and disruption of a global pandemic. There have never been more dangers to people, businesses, organizations, and governments.

To further enhance the knowledge in this growing threat, ETC attended the first Fortinet Security Day in Oman last September 6 at Kempinski. With more than hundreds in attendance from diverse industry sector, we are able to join and listen to the presentation. Speakers with different expertise shared compelling facts and issues that needs to be addressed. It was an overwhelming experience, knowing that there are technologies capable of improving the security and threat protection of any organization such as UTAS-Nizwa.
