From April 12 – 16, 2015, Gulf Business Machine has sponsored a training on Cisco ISE technology inside the NCT premises. Participants of the training are Mr. Hamad Sultan Al-Aufi (HOD-ETC), Mr. Said Al-Ramidhi (HOS-CSS), Mr. Rommel Halcon and Mr. Ashrap Habil from the network group and Mr. Muzammil Hussain and Ms. Anna May Guzman from the support group. The training was conducted by Mr. Somesh Naidu, certified trainer from GBM Bahrain.
The 5-day training course entitled “Implementing and Configuring the Cisco Identity Services Engine” provides security and system engineers and administrators an intensive hands-on experience in setting up, deploying and managing the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to support authentication, authorization, accounting and policy-based networking for devices and users. Participants will walk through a complete install, configure the network and devices, and use ISE as a policy engine to protect the network.
The training course will be beneficial upon implementation on the college network infrastructure in securing both wired and wireless access. Expect innovations from the wireless network and added security on the wired at the backend. Technology like BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and MDM (Mobile Device Management) is now at the threshold of implementation.
