He pointed out that NCT is one of the top colleges in the country that produces quality graduates that is now working in various industries throughout the Sultanate. He also reminded the staff to pursue greater heights by continually improving themselves through research while at the same time expand the knowledge given to the students.
The activities were spearheaded by Dr. Saravanan P., HoD-Engineering. He divided the staff according to its specializations so as the staff can focus more on their expertise. The first few hours were very intense, as the staff from all seven groups (Mechanical, Electrical, Oil & Gas, Electronics, Computer, Physics and Chemistry) was discussing different techniques and methods in enhancing the present curriculum. After thorough deliberations, the staff started to enhance and develop teaching materials that conforms the course outcomes given by the ministry.

After a short break, as chemistry and physics group continues to discuss curriculum development on each and every course they are teaching, staff from the Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Electronics and Oil & Gas specialization was seriously planning strategies and related programs as the college prepares for the opening of Bachelor’s Degree program for the said specializations. They were busy analyzing the course outcomes, developing laboratory experiments and examining laboratory requirements and equipment that would affect the manner on how the practical experiments be conducted.
The workshop was also a chance for the staff to bond with each other as they share lunch together at the ELC canteen with the Dean, HoD and HoS of both mechanical and electrical sections.
All and all the workshop was a success. Coordinators from the different specialization presented their conclusions and recommendations to the whole staff.
