IT Staff attends ISACA Muscat Chapter, Program

ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) Muscat Chapter Organized SheLeadsTech Program at Muscat on 9th May 2018. The faculty members Dr. Mary Amritha Sagayee and Ms Kalaivani Selvaraj from the Department of IT/Networking and Information Security Specialization attended this program. ISACA'S SheLeadsTech program seeks to increase the representation of Women in Technology leadership roles and the Tech workforce. The department of IT is aiming to establish the ISACA Student Group(ISG) at NCT. The SHELEADSTECH PROGRAM values are to ENGAGE women in technology and our allies to support and advocate for change, to EMPOWER women as leaders, role models and mentors in their fields and to ELEVATE the role of women in technology.
The SHELEADSTECH PROGRAM OBJECTIVES were, RAISING AWARENESS - To educate employees, allies, and engaged professionals so that we can overcome unconscious bias, PREPARING TO LEAD - To conduct training and skills development programs which will prepare current and upcoming female leaders for the digital future and PREPARING WOMEN TO LEAD IS SIMPLY GOOD FOR BUSINESS - Through strategic partnerships, we will amplify our impact beyond the ISACA network and support our chapters as they tackle the unique challenges in their region.
