The college clinic organized the blood donation event in cooperation with the Blood Bank at Nizwa Hospital. The aim of this campaign was to spread the culture of blood donation among faculty members and students and to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation in saving the lives of others. Blood transfusions and blood products save millions of lives each year. It also helps patients with life-threatening conditions to live longer with improved quality of life, and supports complex medical and surgical procedures. It also plays a key role in saving maternal lives in the care of mothers and children.
The campaign generated 70 donors with the participation of students and staff from all departments of the college. We thank the Blood Bank at Nizwa Hospital for their continued cooperation.
