The second leg of the series of meetings with Muscat College in regard to benchmarking cooperation, which was initiated on 12th December, 2018 was held in Muscat College on Wednesday, 20 February. The NCT Team met the Muscat College Team to discuss the following points: Linkages with industry and professional bodies: how this is initiated and maintained, as well as other relevant topics/issues pertaining to these linkages; Information communication through different media: how information is disseminated from top to bottom of the organizational hierarchy; Promotion of activities and events: how college and department events are promoted through different media, as well as underlying policies (if applicable). Sharing expertise regarding external review of course projects. Dr. Reshmy Krishnan, Associate Professor and Benchmarking Coordinator from Muscat College, coordinated the program. The Nizwa College of Technology Team who participated in this benchmarking process were Dr. Mary Amirtha, Mr. Yasir Mohammed, Dr. Renjith Kumar, Mr. Ismail Al Riyami, Mr. Samir Al Mahrouqi, Mr. Khamis Sulaiman Humood Al Khusaibi, Ms. Sonia V. Soans, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Ms. Virginia Santos and Dr. Sivaramu T, Benchmarking Coordinator, ITD; The participating team from Muscat College is comprised of Dr. Sarachandran Nair – HOD Computing Department, Dr. Reshmy Krishnan Associate Professor, Benchmarking Coordinator, Daliya Salim, Director – Student Affairs, and Mr. Ayman Bin Saad Bait Saleem, Director of Communication and Public Relations. Both colleges introduced their programs, departments and other research activities to each other. Both teams arranged meetings separately, department-wise and committee-wise. It was decided that the contact point for NCT would be Dr. Mary Amirtha for all further communications and Dr. Reshmy for Muscat College.
