On Monday 8th July, 2019 at 9 am the HR Department hosted the End of the Year Gathering for all the staff members of Nizwa College of Technology. Aslam Awlad Wadair the MC welcomed all gathered there. He began the program with the reading of Holy Qur’an by our student followed by our respected Dean Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed AlShahri’s speech. He appreciated the initiative taken by the staff to organize this program. This was followed by a short video comprising of photos of all activities during the AY 2018-2019. Later Dr. Abdullah Khlafan Hamood Alazri, ADAFA delivered a speech supported by a presentation. He welcomed all the staff present for the program and described the criteria for recognition of best employee. He explained that the Staff Recognition Policy will be released soon and then the procedure will be transparent. He ended his speech by appreciating all staff. After the discourse, the Fun activity session was conducted. A play was presented by some of the college staff who demonstrated the mischiefs played by students during exams. After the play, Mr. Hamad Aufi, HOD, ETC urged the staff to train the students to be careful with the resources of the college. The rewarding session began thereafter. The College Dean Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed AlShahri, the ADAA, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Saleh AlAmri were called on stage supported by the HR staff Mr. Sulaiman Huraib Al Owaimri and Mr. Moosa Al Nasseri. This category of staff was selected and recognized based on the Staff Appraisal evaluation. 10% of staff from Engineering, Business, IT and ELC were honored. After the first session of prize distribution a series of fun activities like short movie by IT Department and NCT Life – Silent Drama by Business Department were presented. Variety of talents showcased on stage and hilarious moments enjoyed by the staff. Then the second round of reward distribution was conducted. The College Dean Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed AlShahri, the ADAFA, Dr. Abdullah Khlafan Hamood Alazri were called on stage supported by the HR staff Mr. Sulaiman Huraib Al Owaimri and Mr. Moosa Al Nasseri. The next category of staff were outstanding performance of Drivers , QA Staff, Outstanding Research Staff, staff working for long service (>20yrs), Certificate verifiers, National and International recognition/academic awards from other institutions, Messengers, Cleaners, maintenance, gardeners, and sewage treatment and security staff (cash), Graduates survey Committee, Statistics Committee, OJT coordinators and Photographers were honored. The program ended with an announcement of lunch for all staff. All staff members cherished every moment of this beautiful program.
