The English Language Center of Nizwa hosted the finals of the NCT - Inter-Department Public Speaking Competition on December, 2nd, 2019(Monday) in the Jibreen hall at 8 am.

The Guest of Honor for this event was the Honorable Dean of NCT Dr.Ahmed Al Shahri. The other dignitaries present were Dr.Abdullah Al Azri ( ADFA), Mr. Ismail Ahmed Al Riyami (HSAG) , Mr.Sultan Nasser Al Dighaishi (HOC-ELC), Mr.Salim Said Al Hashmi (HOS-ELC),

Mr.Anwar Nasser Abdulla Al Ishaqi(ELC/Lecturer) introduced the contestants and judges for the event. Dr.Abdullah Al Azri (ADFA) in his opening speech spoke about the importance of Public Speaking which is in great demand for the labor market. He urged the students to make the best use of this platform for their future career.

The three contestants who competed in the finals were:
1) Miss.Suha Suad Ali Al Mandari (Engg.Dept)
2) Mr.Saud Zahran Saud Al Farqani (BSD)
3) Miss. Khawla Al Sulaimani (IT.dept)

The three judges for this event were:
1) Mr. Thomas Hughes
2) Ms.Usha George
3) Mr.Aslam Awlad Wadair

The Honorable Dean of NCT Dr.Ahmed Al Shahri felicitated the winners, judges and all the office bearers of the ELC-English Club.

Mr.Salah Al Fahdi(Chairman- ELC English Club) in his vote of thanks thanked the dignitaries , judges and all the office bearers of the ELC-English Club for making the event a grand success.

The winner of the coveted cup 'THE PUBLIC SPEAKING CHAMPION OF NCT' was lifted by Miss.Suha Suad Ali Al Mandari (Engg.Dept). The 2nd place went to Mr.Saud Zehran Saud Al Farqani (BSD) and the 3rd place went to Miss. Khawla Al Sulaimani (IT dept).

The Three coaches who trained the three students were:
