Staff development unit of Engineering department in association with the Human Resource department conducted a webinar on “Internet of Things” and Computing Platforms” on 17th June 2021, for all staff members of the Engineering Department. Internet of things is one of the driving force in the fourth industrial revolution and also it is one of the key component in the Oman vision 2040.This webinar aimed to motivate to take up more research based IOT projects and prepare our student community to face the current market needs. The webinar focused on current challenges of IOT, various Cloud computing platforms and explained with example the weather station IOT project using Thing speak as IOT cloud platform.
This webinar was very informative and useful for all the participants.
