Artificial Intelligence is set to make significant and permanent changes to the world of marketing and advertising, and life in general. Thus, it is imperative that successful digital marketing strategies are set in place to ensure seamless, efficient and enjoyable customer experience. If organizations cannot offer this to their customers, their relationships with them may be compromised. Thus, a great deal of understanding about the rudiments of artificial intelligence has to be inculcated especially to the young generation of students who will be the future of businesses.
For this reason, the Marketing Section of the Business Studies Department (BSD), UTAS- Nizwa organized a webinar entitled “Marketing in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” which was conducted through MS Teams on 20th October 2021, 2021. Around 65 participants attended the webinar. This webinar was delivered by Dr. Devi Premnath, Assistant Professor for Marketing at Jansons School of Management, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
The attendees and the guest speaker was welcome by Ms. Hajar Al Nabhani, one of the lecturers from the Human Resource Management Section- BSD. This was followed by the opening remarks of the BSD-HOD Ms. Nahid al Shukaili, who emphasized the need for knowledge sharing through collaborative arrangements with external sectors. The Head of the Marketing Section, Ms. Turkiya Al Busaidi introduced the guest speaker.
In this webinar, the guest speaker engaged the attendees and interacted about the impact of Artificial Intelligence on contemporary marketing landscape of organizations. The resource person focused on the applications of Artificial Intelligence on the marketing mix elements.
After her talk, Dr. Devi Premnath acknowledged the comments of the participants and answered their questions. She also thanked all the organizers of this Webinar at UTAS– Nizwa. A vote of thanks was extended by Ms. Asil Al Rashdi one of the outstanding B.Tech. (Marketing) students of the BSD.
