The event was conducted by the Math Section of the Information Technology Department under the guidance of Dr. Duhai Al Shukaili, Head of the Information Technology Department.
Ms. Manitha as a coordinator of the event introduced Dr. B V Senthilkumar to the audience.
Dr. B V Senthilkumar took over the session, with an introduction to the topic and its relevance to the participants. He later demonstration of the convergence of the Fourier series to a given periodic function through online Math tools and applications. He introduced the various real-time applications of Fourier series such as filtering noises in noisy images, the role of root mean square value of a periodic function in finding the voltage across the terminals of a circuit, solving wave and heat equations, and likewise. he briefly explained the applications of Fourier transform in analyzing functions in time and frequency domains, solving initial and boundary value problems, etc.
