In continuation of the webinar series that the BSD Senior Project committee conducts every semester, a webinar on how to conduct a review of literature- which is one of the most crucial foundation of any research report. For this webinar, the committee invited Dr. Preeti Srivastava, Assistant Professor from the Accounting and Business Department of Muscat College. The webinar was held last Feb 22, 2022 through MS Teams.

The program was hosted by Dr. Mohammed Rafiq, one of the members of the Senior Project Committee. Ms. Hajar Al Nabhani, HoS Human Resource Management delivered the welcoming remarks. The BSD-HoD, Ms. Nahid Al Shukaili also graced the occasion and delivered her remarks. In her message, the HoD laid impetus on the importance of a good literature review and touched on the issues of plagiarism and research integrity.

Before the presentation began, the organizers presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Dr. Preeti for sharing her time with the student attendees to the program. In her talk, Dr. Preti gave an extensive discussion on how to obtain proper literature, what should be covered and how to write them. She pointed out that a review of literature can be written in at least three ways- quotation, paraphrasing and critically reviewing.

The webinar lasted an hour and was formally ended by a vote of thanks from Dr. Renjith Kumar of the Marketing Section of the Business Studies Department.
